The Dance Network Association has a strong passion for supporting the growth of dance provision in youth settings. We provide opportunities for schools to immerse themselves in dance with our Bespoke Programmes and 1 Day, 1 Dance, 1000 Dancers project. However, we also encourage dance within the community and bringing further opportunities to the youth of Essex. See below for what we provide and how to get involved!
Youth Dance (10 - 19 years)
We welcome applications from young people with a disability, up to 26 years old.
Class of two halves.
The first 45 minutes of our classes really ground young people in technical training following the ISTD Contemporary dance syllabus delivered by our Dance Development Artist Karen Pratt and the second 45 minutes is an opportunity to co-create performance project pieces delivered by professional dance artists.
If you choose to take part in the whole class each week you will also have the opportunity to take part in regular workshops and intensives from guest artists and professional companies and have the opportunity to perform your work countywide, regionally and even nationally.
