DNA's Holiday Activity and Food Provision

Thanks to the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham Holiday Activity and Food Fund, we were able to host our first Summer School programme in 2024.
We ran 2 weeks of activity in July - August 2024 for young people aged 5 - 16 years old in Barking and Dagenham.

Each 4 day programme featured:
- 3hrs 15 mins of dance activity each day featuring a variety of styles and teachers
- 30mins of well-being activities each day
- Refreshments, healthy snacks and a hot balanced meal for each child every day
- 60 mins of crafting activity each day
- 1 x 45min specialist session each day (Well-being, Nutrition, Dance & Technology, Afro Grooves and Parkour)
- 1 x 45 min free nutrition workshop for parents per week
- 1 x 45min free wellbeing workshop for parents per week
- A 15 min informal sharing of their activities in front of parents on the final day of each week

We are hoping to receive funding news soon to be able to offer spaces for our Summer programme for 2025.

What we do know:
Our summer school will operate for 1 Week only
Monday 11 August - Thursday 14 August 2025

Venue: Dagenham Park School
Will be open to ages 5-12 (TBC)
