A welcoming space to create, connect and belong.
The DNA Creative Wellbeing Café is more than a café. It is a welcoming Creative Health space where people can come together through creativity, conversation and connection.
Open to our wider community, the café provides a friendly place to meet others, try something creative, enjoy a cuppa and feel part of something.
Alongside the café, we offer a bookable Creative Wellbeing activity designed particularly for people living with a health condition or additional support needs. Activities might include arts and crafts, creative movement, music or other wellbeing activities, led by an experienced creative practitioner.
The activity runs at the same time as our Connect & Dance class nearby. This means couples, friends and family members can come along together and choose the activity that works for them. One person might join Connect & Dance while their loved one enjoys the Creative Wellbeing activity, or companions and carers are equally welcome to stay and take part in the café.
A note about the support we offer
We want everyone attending our Creative Wellbeing Café to feel safe, comfortable and well supported.
Our team can provide encouragement and support to participate in the creative activities, but the café is not a care or medical setting and our team cannot provide personal care or medical assistance.
If the person you are accompanying requires ongoing one-to-one support, medical assistance or help with personal care, including using the toilet, we kindly ask that you remain with them throughout the session to provide the support they need.
If your loved one is comfortable participating independently and does not require this level of support, you are welcome to attend Connect & Dance nearby and return to join us afterwards.
If you're unsure whether your loved one can attend independently, please have a chat with the DNA team before booking. We'll be happy to talk through their needs with you.
After the activities, everyone comes back together for tea, coffee, conversation and peer support – creating opportunities to make friends, share experiences and build meaningful connections within the community.
Whether you're living with a health condition, supporting someone you love, or simply looking for somewhere welcoming to meet others, there's a place for you at our table.
