Dancing For All

At the Dance Network Association (DNA), we believe dance is a universal language, one that connects people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. Whether you’re taking your very first steps or have been dancing for years, our classes are built on the idea that everyone belongs on the dance floor!

Dance is not about perfection; it’s about expression, connection and joy! Our programmes are carefully designed to be accessible for everyone, ensuring that every individual - regardless of physical ability or experience – feels welcome and supported. Whether you’re twirling on two feet, seated and swaying to the music, or simply tapping a toe, there’s a space for you here.

Why Dance is for Everyone

We understand that life comes with its challenges, and those challenges look different for everyone. For some, movement may feel intimidating. For others, it’s a way to reclaim confidence or rediscover joy. Our sessions meet people exactly where they are, adapting movements to fit individuals' needs in a collaborative environment where judgment is left at the door.

Research consistently shows the benefits of dance for both physical and mental health. For older adults, it can improve balance, coordination and mobility. For those living with conditions like dementia or Parkinson’s, dance can unlock memories, elevate mood, eradicate and support symptoms and build a friendship group. For children and young people, it’s a creative outlet that boosts confidence, increases skills and creates team players.

But the benefits of our classes aren’t limited to the physical. Every session is an opportunity to feel uplifted, build relationships and experience the joy of being part of something bigger – the DNA community.

An Inclusive Space for Connection

The beauty of dance lies in its ability to bring people together. It doesn’t matter if you’re 18 or 80, if you’re moving with boundless energy or simply enjoying the rhythm from your chair and soaking up the tea and biscuits that follow. Our sessions are about celebrating individuality while fostering connection. It’s a place where people laugh, support one another, and share a common purpose.

Caregivers and companions are a valued part of the experience, too. We recognise that dance doesn’t just benefit the individual – it strengthens relationships. Sharing moments of movement, music and joy creates a bond that extends well beyond the walls of our classes.

More Than Movement

‘Dancing with DNA’ is about far more than learning steps. It’s about discovering the power of creativity, the strength of community and the importance of play and movement at every stage of life. Whether you’re here to improve your well-being, connect with others or simply find a moment of joy in your week, you’ll leave feeling inspired and supported.

Join us, let’s move together. At DNA we’re not just dancing for ourselves. We’re dancing for all.
